A bit about Valeria P

I am a professional Italian and Mandarin teacher with 9 years of experience. I hold a MA in Comparative Studies (Chinese and English) and a PhD in Chinese Studies. I have the CEDILS certificate to teach Italian to foreigners and HSK 6 (C2 level in Mandarin). I have been teaching Italian, Chinese and English as foreign languages in China, Italy and the UK at University and at Schools. I have specialised in giving 1-to-1 online classes for secondary/GCSE/A level. I believe that students should be active subjects of their learning process and teachers should ensure access to the best resources and technology to make their learning experience as independent and fruitful as possible. I use communicative language teaching methods, varied materials which reflect different aspects of everyday life and I also provide a clear explanation of grammatical rules. I conduct my lessons in a friendly and professional environment with the support of best education technology. I constantly improve my online teaching material and procedures according to student feedback. I love studying languages, I have learnt English, Mandarin and Spanish. Recently I am learning Greek. I like poetry, Chinese calligraphy and Italian traditional dances.
