My teaching philosophy is all about engagement. If a student isn't responding to one approach, it is the tutor's responsibility to create a lesson plan that is a stimulating and memorable experience. I don't believe one size fits all. I think it's important to frequently ask the student for feedback so we can collaboratively discover the most effective teaching methods and tailor the material to their needs. With my GCSE students, I find it best to assess the area of least confidence and follow a student-led approach to accommodate upcoming exams and challenging class material. I dedicate myself to improving student subject confidence, and together, we develop a curriculum tailored to their desired academic outcomes.
