A bit about Paul

I specialise in teaching and tutoring Religious Studies, Philosophy, Moral Philosophy (ethics) and Government and Politics. I have a long track record of teaching, and marking these subjects for exam boards. Therefore I am able to help with advice on exam technique and preparation. Overall, I have taught all those subjects to a high standard for 14 years. I love how my subjects are an essential part of life and living in society. Philosophy, ethics and religion provide the basis for so many questions about how and why people make decision and have differing viewpoints. Having knowledge about Government and Politics helps inform critical students to understand the democratic process. I will use case studies and examples that will help make the subjects I teach memorable. I’m a fan of using popular culture to make ideas relevant and engaging for students. Over the years I’ve helped lots of students develop a keen interest in Philosophy, Religion and Politics. I know students appreciate my more personal style. I’ve always enjoyed working with other people and helping to share knowledge and discuss deep ideas. I love discussing issues and it’s been great to be able to discuss, teach and help students engage for work, so teaching was a very logical choice for me! In my job I’ve particularly enjoyed using creative ways to help students to think critically and engage with a subject.
