A bit about Theo M

I am a recently graduated mathematics student with experience in tutoring secondary school level maths. I love teaching and explaining the concepts of maths and working through problems to find the solution. My studies have covered a whole range of mathematics and all topics of the GCSE / A-Level curriculum. My degree specialised in algebra and pure maths. A typical lesson would involve introducing a new topic to a student, giving them some examples for how it is solved and the methods involved, before giving some exercises for the student to do themselves. I encourage open dialogue and conversation in my tutorials, where questions are very much encouraged! I first started tutoring two years ago during my degree where the university partnered with a school teaching GCSE level mathematics. I tutor in both primary and secondary school mathematics and can tutor in AQA or Edexcel GCSE exam boards, or others if required. Many students have a difficult relationship with mathematics at school, however I believe that learning maths can be a very rewarding experience if taught in the right way. There are many skills that can be taken from learning maths, like problem solving, as well as perseverance and patience.
